Most businesses closed on the Malecon during the weekdays.

El Pirata
If planning to hang out in the Malecon part of town, most bars are closed during the week
Weekends are fine, this includes the Boob bar.

Many are closed Tues. - Thurs. That may change with Carnivale (Mardi Gras) which is coming up the end of next week....

Yeah, that was really depressing when we went a few weeks back on Tues/Wed. The Friendly Dolphin only had like one room open and Senor Amigos was just about the only thing open with an ocean view, besides El Capitan, which we had already had lunch at earlier. Any other suggestions for businesses with a view, or general places open past 9 or so? I usually check on the Sandbar, Ice House or the Black Dog when everything else is closed. Chango's is a bit too far out if I'm staying in Las Conchas or Mirador.

Although I'm not much of a fan of Capones (although I did have a great blackened grouper meal there last weekend), but I think they've been staying open. I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong. Check out the Puesta del Sol restaurant (next to Playa Bonita Hotel/RV Park). There are enough rv's in the park for them to stay open.

Yeah, not a big fan of Capone's, but I do enjoy Playa Bonita's restaurant, I always forget it's a quasi-nightclub after dark. Thanks!

Hey GringoZona....if you like Chinese, there is a decent one on Samuel Ocana at the corner of Constitution. Samuel Ocana is the the first light when you're coming into town (takes you to the condos). The restaurant is across the street from the Pemex station. No beach views obviously...but great price and good food. They don't speak english....but you can order off the pictures!

Comes highly recommended by Mark (Seadweller).
