It's getting close...

[h=5]Well, it's about that time for the news people to say something about travel to Rocky Point for Spring Break. We were there for six days and were all over town several times and every one we seen and talked to were great people. Don't listen to the media. They will mostly likely bring up something that happened several years ago because, they have nothing else to report. It happens every year. You will experience the check point going into Rocky Point and even the Caborca Highway sometimes heading East and it’s no problem. They are there to protect people. Play safe, have fun and come on down. Pass it on.....[/h]

Just heard the newest warning about spring break. In Cancun the navy will be patrolling the streets to keep people safe. The radio announcers were laughing about it.
I will be down on the 9th for a week.

They already did start. KTAR.com had an article (yesterday, I think it was) entitled Fewer Arizonans Considering Mexico for Vacation. As usual they used the big-paint-brush approach to white wash Penasco in with all of Mexico. And while they didn't issue a blatant warning this time, they commented about (as the title suggests) saavy people avoiding Mexico. Same effect.·

Hey....not to worry! They're loss. We need to enjoy the quiet, simple life Penasco has to offer while it lasts. With the Home Port coming in things will change. Those complaining about the violence need to look in their own backyard and I know they, in time, will wish they were part of the boom about to happen.
