My buddy writes the summary below....if you think you will drift back to shore you might be wrong

"
The last lost kayak. In the middle of the night a week ago high tides came in with a full moon and swept away three of the five kayaks that were on the beach above what appeared to be "High Tide Line". Wrong.
Two of the three were retrieved by a fisherman [Pescadero] the 2nd day. He found them about 5 miles out and to the south.
The 3rd came in a couple of days later when found 6-7 miles out by another Pescadero. He held it at his home until one of our guards, Armando [Elvis], saw them. Better to pay a few thousand pesos in reward than to spend over $1,000 for new kayaks.
Wahoo. Another miracle on the Sea of Cortez."

Maybe that's ours from 5 years ago when the college kids were lost and ended up in on the spit!
Remember that night,a friend took my Atv( without permission) for a ride South and the Honda would not start again a mile north of Desemboque. They walked back looking at the bonfires the fishermen and Santo Tomas people set so the lost kayakers could see land. They sure covered some sea on you Kayak, which most likey resides in Ejido Alvaro Obregon these days.
