She is checking. On some it looks like she shuttles to the border - gets out and walks across with her suitcases, etc., and then picks up another van. Didn't indicate how long a wait it was for the new van to arrive. Someone told her that unless you spoke Spanish it was almost impossible - not sure why.
I did this ride a few years back--not sure if it was thru Nena's or Transportes Superior, as I've used both--but it was no problem crossing the border. I was glad I wasn't carrying TOO much luggage, as I was not expecting to carry it over, but the driver was waiting just after the Mexico side and the transition was smooth. He helped an older woman carry her stuff...Sometimes you will see these vans sitting at the border as you cross, waiting in the middle.
As far as coming back to the US, we just had to go inside the station that is to the right of the auto lanes and it didn't seem like we had to wait as long. The other van was right there as we walked out.
Needless to say, the van on the Mexico side was NOT of the same quality and it was a humorously bumpy ride, but I was just happy to get across the border. They drop you off (or at least they used to) near a nicer coffee shop on the main strip, just as you're entering town. Can't recall the name of the place but a cab was there waiting and only charged me 20 pesos ($2) to get over to Mirador. Was surprised that he picked up a few other passengers along the way, but hey--it's Mexico!
