I love sandy beach.

It also has Playa Bonita RV Resort, and The Reef RV Park, two of the few remaining Penasco rv parks that are located directly on the beach.

Hi everyone, I am new here. I used to go to Rocky Point every year but haven't been down in over 8 yrs. A couple questions if you don't mind. My friend and I are coming down on Thanksgiving night, my b-day :) and one of her friends is getting married at rocky point that weekend.
How busy is Thanksgiving weekend?
I rented at Playa Bonita thru the Playa bonita websight and payed for the first night thru pay pal, but didn't get a confirmation from the hotel will this be a problem? I do have my paypal confirmation.
What is the potluck for thanksgiving I read about?
Is it possible to rent a ranger in rocky point for the weekend and can you drive them on the main streets?

The last 2-3 years have not been real busy...not like it used to be. To me, it appears like things are picking up a bit the last few months....

Why don't you call the hotel directly to check on your reservation?

The potluck has been going on for several years that I'm aware of, the last 3(?) over at San Rafael RV Park next door to Playa d'Oro on the Mirador. Last year we had a couple deep fried turkeys, a smoked turkey, some hams, and the fixins...a nice get-together of the forum members (and others). Mark (Seadweller on here) arranged a boat trip out to Bird Island, with proceeds going to the Adopt a Classroom program he and his wife (Barb) run in Penasco.
