The way that started was, the kid asking the questions, asked me where I was from and where was I was going, I told him we were going out for pizza and he asked me to, please bring him a piece. When we finished eating at Capones, I asked for a to go box to take the kid a piece of pizza and then I thought I would just order 2 large to go, so all of the soldiers could get a piece, and thats how it happened. To get a VIP pass thru the army check point here in Lagrimas, i found out hand delivering a couple Capones pizza's, gets me thru the line fast for a few weeks, until they change out the soldiers, and they don't recognize my truck. Someday's I have to go thur the check point 4 times into town and 4 times back out, so 8 times a day was killing me. So now when they see my truck, in line, its pasale jefe.
Yoy're right. When I'm there and it's hot, I always carry extra water to give them.. They really appreciate it.Nice to see a little kindness goes a long way. Their job isn't easy especially when it warms up.
That is very thoughtfull of you Jack, more people should practice that, I always did the same, and also gave out sodas and to the red cross guys just before town, one time one of them offered me part of his lunch, I declined, no gracias amigo, and as I will be getting back to fishing down in PP, soon as my boat is rigged, I'll be doing the same again,Yoy're right. You might put a lighted "PIZZA DELIVERY" sign on the roof of your truck !! Then you can go to the head of the line !!To get a VIP pass thru the army check point here in Lagrimas, i found out hand delivering a couple Capones pizza's, gets me thru the line fast for a few weeks, until they change out the soldiers, and they don't recognize my truck.
