I know some do not want to hear about it but from my experience these things seem to run in groups so please take all the precautions and of course let no one into your home you do not know well.
Victim is an 80 some year old retired MD who has lived here for some 8 or so years. He was badly beaten and tied up. his home was emptied by the crooks, including appliances and what made him weep was the loss of letters his mother sent to him when he served in Viet Nam. Imagine the sense of violation the poor guy is going through. Neighbors got together to supply him with necessities till he can get going again.
