Mexicans have to use non sustainable fishing practices because let's face it, after a good day on the water like this the man IS NOT going home and calling his financial planner to put money in his ROTH IRA or rainy day fund or kids college fund or paying down debt. No, this huge payday is for the next BANDA party this weekend where unlimited amounts of BUD LIGHT and a $200/hour BANDA plays till 4am. Then on Monday the man has no more money so he does what he knows best, heads out to the sea to rape it again for all it's worth because the man needs more money.
This isn't the first time we have experience with the classic Mexican Killing of the Golden Goose. I'm sure many forum members have heard me talk about the non-sustainable business practices of the TROLLS selling fake merchandise. Selling fake watches that break in 3 hours is the normal killing of the goose on a daily basis in Penasco and many other parts of Americanized Mexico. I can buy a Luminox or quality marine grade stainless steel dive watch (REAL with 3 year warranty) for less than the price some of these TROLLS want for a FAKE watch. Want to go fishing?????? Let the man extort you for a pretty penny to catch the same shit I catch out of my kayak which is FREE. Bottom line, a fake watch should never be more than $40 and a fishing charter on a PANGA should never run more than $50 per person PERIOD!

To put PRICE POINT in perspective. A person will LITERALLY go across the street to another gas station simply because a gallon of gas is 3 cents cheaper. THINK ABOUT THAT!!!!! 3 CENTS has the power to persuade someone to use another product or service. Instead of wanting a ridiculous amount for a fake watch, why not reduce the price by half and sell three times as many???????!!!!!!! The thought has LITERALLY never occurred. Furthermore, there is this sentiment that because I am an American surely I have money to blow on stupid fake shit. It is insulting to an educated person's intellect that I would just give you my HARD EARNED money because of some cultural OBLIGATION I have to spend money as a tourist.

For clarification, I'm not saying I would not or have not bought some of the fake merchandise in RP. I'm merely saying that we know it's fake so stop price gouging people. I personally like the fake mens wallets in RP. Lou V, Coach, Gucci HOWEVER, there is no chance in hell I'm paying more than $15 or $20 for one. There is still money to be made at that price point but these CULEROS come out and try and tell you with a straight face that the wallet is going to cost $75!!!!!!! Once again, these CULEROS apparently aren't aware of place like ROSS MARSHALS TJ MAX NORTSROM RACK ECT. in Phoenix where I can get REAL merchandise at a fraction of the retail cost.
Unfortunately, many people around the world adhere to the old adage that ' no one ever lost money underestimating the intelligence of the American people', possibly due to their reluctance to barter and giving the appearance that they have more money than they know what to do with. Many countries won't respect visitors who won't barter.
