On friday 6-18-2010, we set out with AZ ROB from here on the forum... Rob was joined by his wife Michelle and his two amigos Joe and Wayne...
Rob had booked a full day with us... we were all set up to go out with Rick Hammer, and as an added bonus Rick arranged to take us out on the "Arriba Too" a 43 foot Tiara (beautiful boat)...
Things started off great we caught a ton of huge sierra mackeral, some yellow jacks, a couple of threadfin herring and a bunch of latin grunts which would be our bait... we headed out to the chi chi's and we must have tried about 8 different angles at it but not even a hit...
we then moved back toward the eventos and as it was getting later in the afternoon this was looking to be a unsuccessful trip until our second or third drift when Robs amigo Joe got a hard hit and it was on...
I was up on the bow at the time and as I rushed to the cockpit I got a look at this beautiful bright Golden flash of color on top of the water... Rick got the gaft in it's mouth and brought this 15 pound Golden Grouper on board... Joe caught this Golden on a 12 to 14 inch long sierra mackeral...
