Jerry, sounds like this is down by you. Have you found it? Anybody else seen it? Man this would be cool to see!

It is on the west coast of mainland / Sonora, Mexico, about 50 miles south of the U.S.border and 50 miles west of the closest city, Caborca, Sonora. It rarely surfaces, as it is under the beach sand entirely except during rare tidal shiftings, and even then, only the radial remnants and wing skeletons remain.

That would be interesting to see. During WWII my father's company in Cleveland made sectional assemblies for that aircraft.

They also made them for the Wildcat and the TBF Torpedo aircraft. Wish I knew exactly which sections. Not many of those guys alive
yet to ask.

My dad would have loved to find this wreckage. Airplanes were a huge part of his life. He owned & flew everything from a Piper Cub, to a Stearman biplane, to a PT 19 Trainer. He could tell stories for hours. I liked the one about his father who had a full-sized airplane and flew it while it was attached by cable to a tall pole! Miss those stories...
