Epic Fun in Santo Tomas

Just another fun filled trip down Santo Tomas way. Ejido runs for beer and snacks, 2 runs down to Puerto Lobos, 1 run into Y Griega, boarding a shrimp trawler in open water, catching the biggest fish of my life and seeing my first whale in the wild! Wait, I forgot to mention, riding quads, driving my truck on the beach and eating fresh made Spring Rolls Taiwanese style! Shout out to Jerry for the hospitality and Leigh for letting me get comfortable for a couple of hours down in LOBOS, what an amazing place! The vistas alone are worth it! Till next time! Tight Lines and Open Roads! Enjoy!

Awesome! That pinto is a toad! I'm anxious to get back out on the water. Shawno slayed some monster white seabass last weekend.

Thanks Kenny!!! I told Jerry, unlike the time you and I went out, we were actually fishing over rock this time! It was a great trip.

Joe good seeing you again, Glad you got out on the water, while in Lobos. It was a little to calm for my taste, shore fishing that is . We ended up with about ten Rosa snappers 3 yellowtail 16 t0 18 inches (small). bunch of cuda and 1 dog snapper. Good times though. I'll post some pics later,Leigh

Jerry, I was telling my gf this and she corrected me and I felt like an idiot!!!!! LOL Sorry! Now, if this was Mexican food I could tell you the difference between Sonora and Michoacan... Regardless, those Spring Rolls were amazing!

Did you get bait from the Trawler and did you catch the Pinto with cut bait Joe? I'm thinking cut bait as those Pinto will eat just about anything. If I remember right Stuart's better half caught a big one on Squid... Back in the day we used to catch a lot of big one's around Pinto Point and with cut Mackerel.

Yep! Kenny, we were using cut Mackerel. The candy Macks... I had it on a grouper rig, 60z slip weight.
