Dolphins

I spend about an hour or two with my Binoculars on duty with the Sonoran Costal Watch. It's tough duty but we are concerned about ISSIS submarines invading.

I have not seen much evidence of Dolphins for some time. This morning at least 3 pods passed by my watch station heading up the coast. One stopped for a bit and appeared to be feeding. There have been a lot of schools of small fish recently as evidenced by increased Pelicano fishing and Panga fisherfolk farther out from shore. Also spotting Pelicanos with black underwing and heads with a white stripe and some red. Have seen these common in Kino but not around here.

May start to see whales soon.

The project to inventory the grains of sand on the beach has been set aside. Ran out of money and the damned tide ruins the count twice a day! Still lots of concern about protecting this valuable asset to Penasco.

I have offered to supervise a nude beach in Unconscious if I can get the HOA to agree. Would be a great tourist asset.

You are awesome! LOL
Once I figure out how to upload the pictures and video you'll see the visit I had last week by an Osprey on my balcony who proceeded to eat the fish he caught for 2 hours!!! Amazing to watch - gross to clean up the carnage afterwards, though . . . .

There is a pole I watch that they feed on. They say the only feed on live fish but at the base of the pole there are fish leavings but also some bird bones???

There are so many Osprey in Lobos, it's incredible. They sit just behind the house and eat fish all day. Quite the mess they do leave.
