What a total pain in the A@@. Stopped to get gas before we crossed. No cars waiting. By the time we were done there were about 10 cars. Waiting . . . waiting . . . . waiting . . . . waiting . . . . . and yeah, more WAITING! People started beeping their horns. There was nobody in the booth on the US side and I guess the first car in the front didn't want to blow through the stop sign (I would have). Finally, 3 CBP agents come strolling over - they were on break and had gone to the store!!!!!!! So they leave the grand ol' US of A completely unguarded to go on break???????? Every time it seems like it gets harder and harder to get OUT of the country!

Same thing happened to us. Sat there and waited while there 3 agents, standing right there going over paperwork or something, just watched as the cars kept piling up. I think they do it just to piss you off??

No, this happen in October. Got to the border, one car in front us. We thought "sweet no wait" WRONG. We must of sat there for 15/20 minutes. I was going to start honking but figured that would just make them make us wait even longer??

Friends said over 2 hr wait coming south yesterday...only 1 lane open at mexico customs. Think they better work on this if they expect a homeport to work...
When I came back yesterday about noon, when I finally got through, the line was a whole mile long waiting to get into Mexico. We were glad we came back yesterday for sure!

Super easy return to the US around 3:30 this afternoon. Zero wait. But was glad I wasn't heading south. The cars were still pouring in.
You go for it next time! let us know how you make out. I smile and take shit but I go South and North without any Prob. I hate lines and delays so every person who gives them shit delays my wait time. So if you want to do this please cross at San Luis or Sasabe. LOL
