I have not thought about it for years but I used a product similar or it might have been this one on some exposed AC ducts on the roof of an old adobe in New Mexico. I bought it at the local Home Depot I think. Prior to application you could not rest your hand on the duct in full sun. After application it felt only warm, not hot. I was astounded ! So I know there are products like this that actually work. Love to get some and try it out. Don't know where one could get it. Let us know what you discover.

I sent an e-mail asking about retail outlets in AZ. I'll let you know when I know, if I know !!
I got the feeling that this is not a product for retail sale and a product that is sold only to qualified appliers but I could be wrong. I'm actually more enticed by it's claims of durability more so than energy savings. Not having to paint a beachfront home again or as often is my goal. thanks.

Ecosafety products has a refection paint we installed on all the metal buildings at Fort Bowie (big job) A two part undercoat then the paint...seems to give you a few degrees difference and is holding up well(10 year guarantee if you believe in that BS)

Sounds like a good product, but I wonder if it has been tested on a true beachfront masonry structure. We tried a top of the line Dunn Edwards product with a great warranty that was recommended by a DE salesman. The areas that were "beach front" blistered within a year. They decided that while it was a great product it was not suited for our application because it had too much elastomeric qualities. We switched to a cheaper DE product and have had no further problems. Not saying this will be the case with Coolwall, but be careful and do your homework. If you use it, please let us know how it's holding up. We're always looking for better paint products.

I won't be able to use it as it is not sold "retail", only available through qualified contractors as it's a multi-step process. Tex-Cote won't trust DIY's I guess.
I was thinking of going to DE as I have their paint on my Phoenix home and it's great. No one should ever use elastomeric paints on a masonry structure, that's a big no-no. Only elastomeric product that's OK is caulk, but never paint. It needs to breathe.

What did you end up using that's doing well?

We used Dunn Edwards Acri-Flat. It is working very well so far.
http://www.dunnedwards.com/Portals/1/PDF/PIS/en_US/W704V.pdf
The product that blistered was called Enduracryl. AKA EVERSHIELD Exterior Eggshell Paint (EVSH30) (formerly ENDURACRYL)
http://dunnedwards.com/Portals/1/PDF/ProductSpecGuide/repaint_manual.pdf
Enduracryl is listed as an exterior masonry stucco paint. Is is not an elastomeric, but apparently has enough elastomeric properties that is doesn't breath well enough. It trapped moisture to the point where the stucco started to deteriorate. We only had this problem on the actual beachfront surfaces where the sea breeze contacted them daily.

COSTCO has it but implies that it has to be applied by a contractor. I wonder if the contractor bit is a guarantee issue. Mondone, did you get that info from the company? I did not get a response to my e mail inquiry to the company.

Not the company, but I found a few discussions about the product through Google.
