Well the summer is winding down and it is almost time to be able to come back. I can hardly wait. Those little, soft meat, lazy non agresive Trout just don't compare with the salt water fish. I miss the ocean and Mexico realy bad. I think we will be down at the end of the month. Same place PDO same spot. See you all then!

We've gotten so bad that we haven't headed north to the border since last winter! And then if was to Ajo and back. Just can't give up waking up to the Sea of Cortez. Getting old does have some benefits

Just waiting for the day we can do that too! Maybe we should just "GIVE" our house to the kids and we can head down early...maybe we'll just live from the sea, if hubby can catch enough fish....LOL

How bad was the summer? I would love to walk on the sea every month except late July, August and early September.

DH would normally have me out walking about 4pm - the HOTTEST time of the day, naturally. Doable but not much fun. Early morning and eary evening beautiful for beach walking (DH is either a 'mad dog' or an 'Englishman' and some days I'm not sure which

Even in July we slept with the windows open at night. August no - not much breeze plus pretty humid. Water temperature perfect! I love warm. I'm guessing we were a lot better off than Phoenix. Non holiday summer days have a lot to recommend them as it isn't crowded and for playing in the Sea of Cortez - perfect most of the time. I could be biased a little bit.

The weather has not been bad for very long this season. We didnt run a/c full time until August, July was unbelievably pleasant but mid to late August was pretty humid. Today is blustery with a strong wind coming off the sea and a bit of dust, but doable. I really liked the weather this year no complaints! What do I know though I have Pom Poms

Thanks for the update Gato & Russ. The weather in Tucson finally broke yesterday, and we got in the 60's last night. I'm sure it will start to cool down in Penasco at night soon. I'm in Tucson listening to the Rosie and Russ show while doing our business taxes (yuck). I'm enjoying Mark Mulligan, and "visualizing" ourselves down there next weekend!!
