Chicago VS Mexico

I sent this message to my Mexico fearing friends. Chicago has a murder rate from gun wounds worse than most third world countries (and it has very strict gun laws) while in Mexico if one person gets hurt it makes national headlines. Most of my Mexico fearing friends will not even grasp that they are bi-polar in their thought process:

According to Chicago Tribune by the time weekend was over it was 84 shot and 13 dead with a significant number of them bystanders. Of course this is still the city with the toughest gun laws.

I have a niece who is an ER Doc in downtown Chicago with as much experience in dealing with bullet wounds as anyone.
