Caravan on Friday August 26th?

Anyone leaving the Phoenix area on the 26th that would be interested in driving through to Rocky Point at the same time? Message back if so, we plan on leaving Gilbert around 10-11am or so, but are pretty flexible with the time.

Even if nobody responds you should plan to come anyway. As a frequent border crosser I can tell you that you dont need a caravan to come to RP

Yeah man, I'm coming regardless! Can't hold me back. I'm ready, haven't been in over two years. Just figured I would throw this out there to see if anyone had an interest. Better safe than sorry and all that...

I know people who will park at the Chevron, then pull out in line when a couple of US vehicles pass by to the border, then just follow along through Sonoyta to Penasco. An informal arrangement but you will have a caravan.

And if you DO follow some random people through Sonoyta, don't assume that they know what the proper speed limit in town is! Best bet is to take your time and follow the signs. I don't see too many speed traps when traveling mid-week, but expect to see them over the weekends for sure. Once you hit the open highway you're good to go, though.
