I usually tie my own flies for saltwater. My favorite for almost anything in the ocean is a bucktail with a little glitter in the streamers and /or body and maybe some red, green or black streamer and/or body.. They've always been my most productive flies for nearly anything that swims the ocean. They are simple and easy to tie.

This Rig, or one similar tipped with a little squid, or Shrimp, will catch some nice Corvina, Pompano, etc.. Use about a ounce or more of lead on there, and preferably with a long, but light to medium action 7ft rod, let er rip... Keep the rod tip up, and keep the Bucktail moving (hop the lead) and twitching, and if there are fish out there this rig, or one like it, will get you lot's of action. I'd like a little lighter line than this one has, but I've done very well with 40lb test. Be ready right when it hit's the water. A ounce or so of lead hitting the water gets their attention fast, and they'll hit the Bucktail by reflex, and hard...http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=360276744351&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT

I usualy spool my reel with 12-14 lb test just in case I get into a fish like the one in my avatar
