Nice little teaser video!
Nice little teaser video!
Talked to a customer today who is in the offroad racing business and he said it will be a no go after last weekend in San Felipe 250 ..
#1 san felipe 250 - YouTube
#2 san felipe 250 #2 - YouTube
#3 baja 250 12 crash - YouTube
worst part is they built the bobbytrap then film it and while the guys are hurt hanging upside down
these Douche bags steal the bag that had all the paperwork, Passports, money, phones, then they steal
the gps and the jack off of the car as well as parts.
There were 3 Semi trucks full of equipment and parts STOLEN out of the secure parking lot.
Everyone I talked to said no way to racing in Mexico. They say they won't even take the class 1 buggy or the trophy truck to baja 100 this year.
I know that was San Felipe but in the eyes of some Mexico is still Mexico.. This is why the ADRA wont post who is entered. it may only be 5 locals running around
The 250 starts at the Arches, near my house, when that race starts anything left outside is going to disappear, you almost need an armed guard. I was almost convinced to go this year by a friend of mine and just from what i saw on the video, I am glad i didn't. You can see in the video, how stupid the spectator's are, build a boobytrap and then stand almost in front of it when the car comes at them, I am surprised more people don't get killed.Talked to a customer today who is in the offroad racing business and he said it will be a no go after last weekend in San Felipe 250 ..

The 3 teams who I know said that was it last straw they are only going to race in the states from now on. They also told me of a guy on a motorcycle who hit a booby trap and was thrown around like a rag doll for about 200 feet I was told he had to be airlifted out due to injuries. The boobytrap is so FFFFFF'd up!!!! OMG!!! Makes you want to kill these mother F&*KERS!!!! However, Im not buying into your story completely. These race teams go down to Mexico at least 3 times a year for the San Felipe 250, Baja 500 and Baja 1000. They have a lot of knowledge and experience racing in Mexico, I doubt these teams would completely stop going to Mexico. These race teams go to Ensenada every year and Im sure a lot of them have never had any bad experiences. I think its good to take these stories with a grain of salt and question them until we are certain that this is exactly what happened. The baja 1000 is like DAYTONA and THE INDY of the off road racing industry, I highly doubt racing teams are going to stop going to that...
There is nothing new here.I just don't understand why they would purposely try to injure people who are just adding money into the local economy.
There is zero comparison between what happens in San Felipe racing and the event that ADRA is putting on here. All of the land that the race is being run on is owned by one man and he has blessed the race and has given full permission to run it there. That gets rid of the "hey I dont want you here theory" Also the track in Penasco is a 25 mile circuit which is totally visible from the top of the sand dunes. It is not run through no mans land where these groups of jackasses could congregate without any supervision. There will be ultralites flying over the track and there will be civil protection on hand as always for the events at Thunder on the Beach. Bring your friends and enjoy the races. So is this thing going to happen? If it does, how does it affect the resorts on Sandy Beach - if at all? I'm taking 3 first-timers to RP that weekend and want it to be perfect. Now I'm second guessing the dates.
