Everytime you ask for a quote, make sure to ask for an official quote that states the amounts insured, coverages, company and vehicle description. It is not up to the client to say how much your vehicle is worth. It is our job as insurance consultants, agents, or company to look in the NADA Guide or Kelly Blue Book and let you know the amount. Because when there's an accident, the company will pay you for what your car is worth, not the amount you insured it for.

Thanks, this is good advice. I've found the more reputable companies I called to said the same thing.

Never make a check out to an agent of person in charge of giving you your policy. Checks should always be under the insurance company's name and cash deposited straight to a bank account.

Full coverage doesn't cover a rental car unless you ask for it. With us, it is only 11.43 dollars a year and covers up to 1200 dollars.
