I have been the recipient of an onslaught of miles of those truckers who, tired of waiting due to a truck fire at the checkpoint farther down the highway, all decided to use both the north and south lanes to head south while I was heading north. I either had to pull over and/or ride in the emergency lane north and yield both highway lanes to the southbound truckers. It was was quite a white knuckle drive, at least at the beginning yet just another part of the Mexico experience.
