Has there been an uptick in people in-town yet?
Article in Rocky Point 360 is saying 100.000 visitors this week.
If that number is remotely accurate the shelves in many store will be bare come Monday.:)
In a moment of insanity and good will I agreed to let my buddy Adolfo use my atv for the Santo Tomas fish camp party......RIP Honda Rancher old friend..
Well it has clearly started. Stopped at the Oxxo outside of Unconscious, went in and came out and was parked in while the happy partiers make their purchases. Drove to Coppel, cars passing and cutting me off. Traffic control is already almost absent. Car went thrugh the stop sign at Fremont and Sinaloa not stopping must have been doing at least 50 MPH. Varoooom varoom !! Colorful overloaded Razers roaring around like maniacs. Fremont is like a drag strip. Lots more itinerent vendors wandering the streets. Old port is all jumbled up with food vendors crowding the side roads. Huge rolling taco stand offloading right in front of Con Flavios !!! Tomorrow and Saturday will be stay at home days !!
Good news is Benito Juarez into the Malecon is paved and open. About an eight inch drop off on either side with exposed rebar, so beware of that. Barriers are not erected but stacked to close off the Malecon.

Will RP ever consider traffic safety as a priority? The greatest chance of death in Mexico is car accident 100%
Will try, yesterday coming back from my project in Cholla I noticed that the highway coming in from Laguna Shores was almost bumper to bumper coming in.....
In my hood there have been parties since Wednesday night. The awesome smell of chicharrones being cooked in the front yard, it is very festive. Glad I live away from the beach right now though.
Sorry boys, when that picture came in on my phone, it looked like competition hill in the background, now that I see it blown up, I can see its a building...

I'm sorry, when I saw it, it looked like the point at Cholla with a big pile of white sand on it, as might be seen from playa Hermosa...and it was sent from Penasco..
We made the mistake of heading to lunch (Casa del Capitan) on Saturday. That third pic is very familiar, except it does not capture the double line of cars from Freemont that merged into that one lane.

That's funny because my first reaction was, that beach is way to clean to be RP during Semana Santa.
There would have been 10 times more trash, bottles, cans, and other waste than what was in that faulty photo.
I was on Sandy where the bands were playing and people were hanging-out from about 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Saturday. I thought the beach looked pretty good considering the crowds. Most beer for sale was in cans, there were at least 20 recyclers picking-up cans. Lot's of families. Looked like people were keeping their areas clean.
I did not see any huge mess as shown in the Acapulco photo. Line at the border was about an hour at 6:00 yesterday evening.
Great weekend weather. I enjoy the crowds, but I don't have to try and sleep at a trailer park or condo at night. Good times.
I wish I could upload my pics, but today, I'm having trouble.

Then upload your pictures there and then you can post the Direct link here using the insert image url next to the smiley face when you are making a post and the forum will then display the picture.
This apparently was Pacific Beach in San Diego 5th of July 2006
MIRAMAR. Right click mouse on picture, copy and right click on here and paste it. Try that.
Another way is when you are ready to insert a pic, open my pictures or wherever the file is stored, click and drag the pic to the RP talk icon that's on the toolbar which causes RP talk to open, then continue dragging the pic and drop it in your post.
Another thing to remember is to make sure the image size isn't to large, There are image size reducing programs for free on the web.
Here is an example, I have never used it but reviews seem ok. http://pixresizer.en.softonic.com/
Images 600x400ppi at 72dpi seems to upload fine. That will give you 8x5.5" image that will look sharp at 100-200K which loads here fine.
Not a lot in Mirador area but the public beach Mi Playa was well occupied. It is nice to see so many people enjoying the sun, sand and beach. Also, lots of kids all having a great time. There were a few families still there today.
