We should have a google map of Snorkeling sites from Penasco to Libertad...I have a few good ones...

Snorkeling in Penasco is so-so at best. However, down the coast in San Carlos, I've had some wonderful snorkeling adventures. Much more life on the reefs; lots and lots of fish and critters. I've had more fun snorkeling in the tidal pools in Penasco once the sand settles out of the water. You can see all kinds of critters then, including nudibranches and some other critters I've never seen snorkeling out beyond the surfline.

To bad they did not sink the Fiesta Cruiser in 40feet of water in front of the Pigeon Coops. it would have been a great place to kayak out to and practice free diving at high tide and snorkeling around at low.I am making a piece of snorkeling art for my place y....old rebar fisherman, trying to Start his Mercury 5 hp motor..maybe a rebar dog too...I like dogs...I plan to put it in 10 feet of water so part of the time it is on the beach.

. Look what the hurricane uncovered by the arch at Cabo!

cool video, I wish they would have mentioned better where it's located. I'll be asking when we go snorkeling there next year - hopefully it's not too deep and we can get a peek at it.
thanks for posting that.

got a reply from the Los Cabos forum - the shipwreck is just past the end of the arch, in a SE direction, but before the big rocks at sea lion rock. If you look at a Google Earth image, look SE of the arch , and SW of the large rocks at the very end of the peninsula. The currents are pretty swift around this area, so we won't be snorkeling there, but hopefully the catamaran we'll be on can motor in close enough for a peek. very cool.

Shipwrecks are intriguing, like a rare opportunity to look back in time. Be really cool to find that German sub Jerry's Hellcat sunk! You could re-write some of WWII's history with a find like that.
