Some of you know that we lost our son Braden Sept 21 2014. This weeks photo of the week is dedicated to our son who loved Puerto Penasco so much. He passed on too early, he was 21. Braden and RP
He will be missed by many here in Peñasco but especially by his mom and me!

I am so sorry to hear that Russ. I can't even imagine how difficult this must be for you & Naomi. Our prayers go out to you and your family.

It is the very worst thing ever, ironically my daughter Beth was married here in RP two weeks later and that was the best event in our life ever. Does it balance it out? To a degree, but not all the way. We must continue living and move forward. He will be missed!

An Ocean of Grief
Beautiful words for anyone who loves the ocean & has experienced loss.
by Ferna Lary Mills

I cautiously watch the water as it moves along the shore
creeping closer to the sand around my feet.
Beyond the crashing waves, where the water is deepest green
the ocean mirrors the depths of my grief.

My grief is like the ocean, sorrow coming in like waves,
sometimes gentle like a ripple on the sea.
Other times it just engulfs me with crushing waves of sadness
and undertows of despair pull down on me.

Some days I wade out in it, splashing memories with my feet,
recalling days of sunshine on my face.
Stepping through the foamy edges never venturing out so far
that larger waves can threaten their embrace.

Then when I least expect it this freak of nature soaks me
in reality so painful that I fall.
The sorrow and the anger that I've fought with day to day
surge through me in a tidal free-for-all.

One day when I'm much stronger and my grief is not so new
I'll swim just like I used to do before.
I'll take pleasure in the memories,
and tread water in those places
that we can't share together anymore.

Sorry for your loss, I found out about it yesterday while in Cholla.
Time will help you heal from this, but Naomi and you will never forget all the wonderful memories of raising your children.
Once again, my condolences.
Take Care.

Russ & Naomi, my heart is broken for you. Braden, such a talented, intelligent and witty young man, will be missed by many. You are loving and caring parents and I know the love you have for your family. I pray God will comfort you and hold you up as you hold each other up. Thank you for sharing Braden's photography with us. Beautiful...My condolences to you and the rest of your family.

So sorry to hear of your loss. We lost our son almost 4 years ago. He was only 23 at the time. We miss him everyday. Our prayers are with you and hope the pain will subside and the happy memories never fade. GD

Very poignant, thank you. My wife's ashes are in the ocean there. My deepest sympathies.

Our thoughts, prayers, hugs and tears are with you and Naomi. You are carrying a burden no parents should have to bear- beautiful pictures and beautiful son.

Russ and Namoi....

So very very sorry about the loss of Braden. Penny and my heart goes out to your family. We will always have fond thoughts of him...especially thinking about the great times we had with you guys on the beach, when he was in diapers, and him growing up. We will miss him, and may Gods' sprit be with you and Namoi.
We love you guys.
Dennis and Penny with love

So hugely cool of you to share Rocky Point through Braden's eyes. Beautifully done, man.
