Playa Miramar, Dorada and Encanto do not allow any vehicles on the beach, but I don't know about others.

Go to El Golfo. Perfect for what you are describing.

Mi Playa is your ticket, park on the beach, loud music, booze, its off fremont past sinaloa going east can't, miss the sign. La buena vida!

Mi Playa has a huge parking lot and if you get off it and into the sand, with or without music, towards the beach be aware that the cops will be on your arss very quickly, you are better of going to Cholla Bay to do that, I believe they still have access to the shore for cars, just make sure that you drive in on high tide 'cause if you do it in low tide as the tide rises your car starts sinking and then it turns into a submarine!! and like americans say in mexico "no bueno"!!!

At 'mi playa' you can throw trash right on the beach and no one cares.

Saw something on the beach last week that really made me question bringing a vehicle down on days with rough windy seas. after tide went out a area with big ripples of sand about 50 feet from tide line was like quick sand. I sunk to above my knees and a Atv would have had trouble getting out. north of Desemboque by the abandoned fish camp their are many areas like this..

Sorry, but your are wrong, just because a couple of morons do it does not mean everybody does it!! you find morons from USA doing it most of the time too in Mi playa, Mirador, Sandy Beach and Cholla Bay just because they are in Mexico and think it is below them so they trash it!!! like idiots giving alcohol to minors just because they are in Mexico!!!! seems like many are ready to blame the people here but fail to realize that most of the times the law breakers are the USA tourist that come to Mexico, you do not need statistics to see who are the trouble makers in this place that used to be paradise or just pay attention during the week days when there are very few USA tourists, no accidents, no loud music everywhere, no fake stop signs and no cars have buried in the sand at high tide!!

Inka, I love Mexico. But I am sorry to say that I have heard from many that it seems to be common place for locals to throw their trash right on the beach. Mi Playa is an area that I have heard from officials that has more trash thrown on the beach than most other areas. Especially when you compare the beach area from a local holiday vs. a US holiday. I wish this trend would stop.

Here's an non-scientific observation and JMHO about Sandy Beach - never been to Mi Playa. I was down for 2 weeks in June. The majority of the people were Mexican American. Every morning when I went down to the beach to read under a palapa, the amount of trash on the beach was unbelievable. By 1:00 in the afternoon there were 5 or 6 competing stereos on the beach blasting techno and rap. Yelling in English and Spanish to each other from long distances on the beach. It was a mess. I brought up the trash issue to some vendor friends and they tell me that it's always worse when the majority of people are Mexican Americans and that it makes them mad that most people think it's the Mexican nationals. One of the ladies I buy silver from told me that the Mexican Americans treat the vendors worse than any racist gringo, leave more trash, are the loudest, most obnoxious, and the cheapest tourists in all of PP.

We all love Mexico, but am disappointed with the attitude of just leaving trash at the beaches and other places.
Just go to Tucson beach in Cholla after a big weekend and there is a lot of trash left there, and more than a couple of baby diapers.

I went to Mi Playa after it first opened the trash cans were full and the people there just left more stuff there.

I was surprised that nobody packed it out with them.
The second time I went to Mi Playa most of the trash cans were gone, I haven't been back.
I was taught to leave an area cleaner than when we arrived, I've been doing that for years.

Mi Playa is getting a cleaning more often these day's....unlike the road to caborca which is know as the highway to hell! https://www.facebook.com/109703845771031/photos/pcb.659008257507251/659008107507266/?type=1&theater

You can say it's Americans throwing the trash & blasting the music, or Mexican Americans, or Gringos, or Mexican Nationals, or just Mexicans. I would prefer using a more generic label & calling them what they really are...idiots. Who cares what side of the border they live on.

We need to understand that were most of us live (USA) there are penalties for breaking any law and those penalties are enforced all the time anytime, it is the way most advance countries are, or should I say, most third world countries have that freedom that appeals to us so much as they lack enforcement of 75% of their laws!! it is not that they do not have them, believe me they do, however the smaller the town the less and less the majority of the laws are follow to the tee, not the case in USA, were we come from!
As many of you said before, 15 years or more ago there were no laws in RP but there was respect for each other and their belonging, remember before Sandy Beach got developed, you could leave your fat ballet on the table overnight and nobody would dare to take it!!!
Village became a town and things started to change, town became city and now we do nothing but bitch about each other doings, we all ARE to blame as we are the ones that past the word around about our slice of paradise!
The local gov cleans the beaches however as the rest of the world that got hit hard by the screw up of the USA financial system there is not financial backup to clean the beaches daily or at least once a week sometimes, so what I do is I get myself a few garbage bags and fill them and take them to the trash, everybody sees us doing it and whether they follow suit or not it is not of my concern I just do it and enjoy a cleaner slice of paradise until I found my other slice!!!!

In some ways I don't quite have grip on littering is a kind of political protest. You announce yourself to the world as a free man or woman. If the corporations were not allowed to sell all this plastics crap Mexico would be cleaner by far.In tasmania they banned plastic bags to a great degree. The place is spotless but in the areas logging has been slowed by environmentalists littering is used as a person protest method by out of work loggers.

Hijack again! Lets try to keep this tread where one can go to the free beach in Penasco, Who cares about Abel Tazman and all his adventures on RPF...

Ok if you want a great beach run come to Santo Tomas and blaze south..At Desemboque you have to go inland
but you end up being able to do a lot of beach running all the way to Puerto Lobos ...some of this is not for the faint of heart. If you just want a challenge that might not get you in life threatening difficulty the 15 mile run from Santo Tomas north to the spit is unmatched......not to much litter....

Well I'll be honest Jerry. I've actually never been to Santo Tomas, I would like to run out there one day maybe October. That article you posted about the invaders (fish camp) was very interesting, I mean if they are rightfully the owners they should be entitled to the land. Many ranches in mexico are being invaded by outsiders, major problem getting them out, Cousins of mine had to hire sicarios to evict them.
Maybe one day hook up and catch some corvina, Allthou I think white sea bass is tasty and dorado right there too...

The issue in part is monied interests know these locations have huge potential value. The fishermen picked them for a reason so the big players enlisted straw ejido owners to bring up lost battles .The lady from Nogales that got our fishermen kicked out to sea and the road to the camp blocked so American 4wd enthusiasts cannot access the coast in these cool locations was the only one of 6 competing claimants that refused to let the fishermen stay. They have used that spot for 40 years.Big money is behind this....

Even locals (police) should be careful driving on the beach

My beach gets clogged with refuse tossed overboard from the shrimpers. Diesel filters, old gas cans, trash…everything. Also, there is a new spot alongside the road about 6 miles out of Penasco on the Caborca road that has become a large landfill. Not very easy on the eyes!

"Worse than ever is the entrance to Rocky coastal road Caborca-Cliff, this due to the large amount of trash that you can see the south side of the road and has not been withdrawn by the authorities and units concerned, rocaportense coupled with the population still does not meet the signs that's indicate the prohibition of dumping of waste in public places.

Although there are signs that indicate heavy fines and the appropriation of those who are caught throwing trash, how much she does see the east entrance to the city like a dumpster and the trash that keeps pulling all kinds from branches, debris, old furniture, tires, waste to seafood.

Even the Federal Government a sign reading "Living Better" contrasts sharply with the underground dump out of control that welcomes visitors arriving by that road and take the first image of a port and a smell Basurón therefore fetid waste and flies that flood an area of just over 300 square meters on the road in question.

While municipal authorities have taken action earlier in order to seek to eradicate this serious problem of garbage and was mainly caused by the same citizen not respecting laws and not used correctly official spaces and conditioned to deposit their trash, the problem persists and is difficult to solve since it is the largest amount of trash that must relocate, but even when still pulling without measuring consequences."
