Yesterday heavy fighting between gunmen and police in Sonoyta in Loma Bonita colony left as stock four detainees, weapons and a vehicle insured, registered facts around about 16:30 Saturday 18 October.
The facts transcend unofficially version and witnesses who were raised on 15th Street and Avenue Mario Morua, which started the brawl between gunmen first, hence the miscreants fled towards Obregon Street exit east of the city toward the Desert Sonora, being chased by members of different corporations that had already been alerted, culminating near the municipal cemetery where they were arrested by the army and Municipal Police, after confronting the authorities with bullets.
The place was assured a Trail Blazer gray, addressing the four subjects who were wounded apparently by gunfire, whom I was assure them four assault rifles, Ak-47, known as "goat horn", a rifle .223 caliber, 4 metal disc chargers for Ak-47, 20 metallic chargers Ak-47 8 plastic boots Ak-47.

The ongoing violence in Sonoyta, every day continues to grow, with a cry of citizens who ask stop executions and crimes where the citizen is at the mercy of organized crime in this border town. More important to note however is that this time the authorities of the three levels of government acted quickly and managed to secure these dangerous individuals. Photo Taken from Facebook

Do you remember when DEA Kiki got himself murdered near Caborca? The drug lord responsible, whose name I cannot remember, had a big hacienda almost next door the the old mission. The Mex police and military knew it and did nothing.
Late one night five blacked-out UH-1H Hueys showed up and blew the place to a smouldering rubble heap then flew off into the night. Sadly the head tamale wasn't home at the time but we did make a big contribution to the Caborca cemetery that week.
A little well placed fire and lead put the little scurrying cucarachas back into their toilet holes. The hit was within easy round trip flight operations from Ft. Huachuca, AZ.

Hillbeartoe said:This is pretty interesting that they are siting Puerto Peñasco as the hub.
About 4 trips ago on one of our adventures we were heading (I guess west) on route 3 and came upon a couple little houses off the side of the road. We Stopped asking for possible entrance to the dunes North of the highway... not much English, but the basic answer was no.
Anyways about half way to the house there was a Federales check point and when I mentioned headin back to the check point the guy I was communicating with instantly got concerned and really tried his best English on me to try to figure out how far away they were.
He flat out told me he needed to contact his peoples cause they were making a run into town and thanked me for the info...
I know that there is no lack for finding anything you want in PP, but it just seems so obvious that it would be a hub that I figured no one would take the chance. Considering the lack of constant contention for control there, there has to be more than just the ruling cartel keeping things civil.
I would love to see where the money trails lead. Much bigger fish than the local politicians.... Possibly some of the heavy land owners. o_O
I am sure that's no revelation but man it is unbelievable how loud , or in this case how quiet money can keep things.

Split fillet cutting blood line out.
Marinade (in a ziplock bag) 2Tbsp. of Soy Sauce, 1 Tsp Sesame Oil and 1 Tsp. Sugar, for 15 minutes.
Mix in one 1 large egg and 1/4 cup of corn starch, mix by hand.
Deep fry at 375 till they float and are golden Brown.
Serve with any sauce.
Wrong section for this but food and cooking are a special thing to me. Anytime anywhere.
Oh, by the way buddy careful with the Mata or Surgeon fish.
I had to look it up because I thought I had read that "They are considered good food fish, however, there is a concern that they may contain Cigua Toxin, which is present in Surgeonfish outside the Eastern Pacific."

dirtsurfer said:This is patently untrue. Although violence may have decreased in Portugal a very short research detailed how there are more users in Portugal now than before drugs were decriminalized.
I am an advotcate of legalizing drugs but have no doubt that use, addiction and the social ills associated with drug use will increase.
This week I met with the Child Crisis Nursery in Phoenix and they state that a large majority of the abused and neglected kids in their care are due to drug using parents. This situation burns me and makes me consider the terrible consequences that the abuse of drugs causes. This may be one unintended consequence that would increase with the legalization of drugs.
The libertarian in me wants to legalize everything but I wonder if people are responsible enough to deal with that freedom. If you ask the people who run our social service agencies their answer would most likely be no.
MIRAMAR said:Jerry, you said "The difference is the drug cartels now control Sonoyta......the town is a shell of what it was 15 years ago...." We drive through Sonoyta, eating at our favorite taqueria, every other week. Whether or not your statement is true, how is Sonoyta any different than Caborca?
BeachyKeen said:How heartbreaking, kudos to you for being involved. The sad thing is these kinds of people do it illegally and more than likely legally it would just hopefully take a little amount of violence down due to turf wars and other issues that the cartels have the power since they have what unfortunately Americans (and people from every country) continue to buy. Maybe tax money from taxing the usually non dangerous marijuana could go towards programs to help the people that are prone to addiction (sad disease) get medical care and counseling, scholarships to school if they can test negative, help with daycare for those that work and continue to test negative, Trying to prevent as many people from going that road of desperation and strengthen and empower the families with education and hope not a handout but help (not in the form of money but incentives to Better their situation and make a better living eventually) to those that would usually not get it. Sadly the innocent kids suffer from the selfish people who either way (help offered or not, legal or not) don't care to help themselves :-( There is no perfect answer to this out of control situation that continues to plague both of our wonderful countries. And I didn't say wonderful governments , but yes wonderful countries with many wonderful citizens and beautiful scenery and for now more freedom than a lot of countries. Anyone that gives any sort of hand to any good organization that tries to help with the victims involved does make a difference!
jerry said:So he is cool with everyone owning a machine gun but not make a choice about taking drugs.,hmmm....bottom line the prison industrial complex is Arizona's main employer and alcohol is worse than all of them..
dirtsurfer said:J: you have to know that the AR-15's in my collection have no daily impact on anyone. If I am messed up on drugs or alcohol on a regular basis how can I make rational decisions about the welfare of my kids? I agree with you about alcohol but is the reason because it is so readily available and accepted in our society? I wonder. Growing up with an angry, violent alcoholic father had me wishing he had no access.
Like I stated before, the Libertarian in me wants to legalize all drugs but I wonder if society can handle this. I look at heavy users of any mind altering substance as a "weeding of the chaff", the problem is the collateral damage caused by the decisions of users.
dirtsurfer said:Legalize, tax the hell out of it and use the tax revenue for treatment and education, I guess
