Whales?

OK - We have seen the amazing dolphins on just about every trip. We have also heard that whales can been seen in February-March, and would love to add that to our list of things we saw in Mexico.
Discuss.

We were there back in Feb and ran into a family that was getting ready to go whale watching. Not sure where the area was.

Just don't believe them when they tell you that the stench coming from a sick, dying whale circling near the harbor is "whale's breath" and that it's a normal smell. It's not.

There are lots of whales out there right now. Problem is, not many are close enough to go for a short boat ride and watch... most are still out near the deeper reefs. We encounter them on a pretty regular basis at the 43, 51, etc., or on the way in or out.

or go to lobos and they are usually a couple to 3 miles out

Thanks for sharing - these were awesome, music and all.

We have done the whale watching in Cape Cod and would love to do it in Rocky Point as well.
