From a forum "
For those who care, tolls on Durango-Mazatlan road probably about 450-500 pesos or car and 600-750 for RV's. Toll booths were still posting rates and were not sure. It was free this week so they were just guessing, as was the tourism lady who told me 400 pesos. Whatever it is, it is worth it."

Is that the Maxipista? Have driven it before when driving to Mazatlan. Maybe... I'm thinking it started outside Los Mochis and headed south along the coast. Durango is off to the east in the mountains, yes? Anyway, the toll road was worth every penny -- well maintained and very little traffic.

I took the original road that this replace probabaly back in 01. It was the best drive I have ever had. Sorry they upgraded it, but the scenery through there is spectacular. I saw some photos of the bridges, incredible engineering. So Jer, I take it you took that route??
