we came down tuesday afternoon, there might have been 4 cars in the parking lot. now the parking lot is near full with a towel on every chair around the pool. this at the sonoran sea. be careful coming through ajo lots of sheriffs cars
Arrived at 5:30 nobody at the border
Drove by Sandy Beach I havent seen that many RVs parked there in many years
JJs at 9pm has a great crowd.
Looks like it will be a rocking weekend.
Friends came Friday afternoon...1 1/2 hour wait at the border to cross and 30 mins at the Miltary Check Point. We had a sick child, so we did arrive until today, Saturday, 45 min wait to cross, no wait at the check point. Seem like every rental house is rented and full in Los Conchas.
I haven't seen Rocky Point this busy since the hey days of 2006.
We had to go north early this morning and there was a steady stream of vehicles headed south to Peansco - haven't seen that many in years! Bella was completely rented out and the parking lots were basically full this morning. yesterday all the pools were busy and a LOT of people having a great time.
Because US border agents check cars that go into Mexico there was a delay and a line to get into Sonoyta was about two miles long this morning. It took 1 hour to get into mexico. I have never seen anything like this in my 20 years of going to Penasco.
Get used to it-it's not going away. It is the result of the efforts of the US govt to divert attention from its involvement for the guns it shipped into Mexico. Nothing but a big charade!
I complained to a CBP officer about the amount of time it took and was informed "Mr. Black I get paid by the hour, I really don't care how long it takes I have to be here anyway" I guess he put me in my place.

I personally think that attitude is typical of the American mind set today. We are their customers and we should be treated that way. That person should be fired and their boss should be put on notice that attitudes like that reflect directly on the person in charge. I guess if you follow the chain up it is the same attitudes that all politicians have towards "the people".:veg::-o

In the future, refuse to be "put in my place". It is time to push back and declare our freedom

Really nice but I do miss my friends in PP. Come visit it is amazing. Cruise ships, yachts, whales and etc. Same great Mexican locals and very little police or Federales.
Homes here are very expensive. I am renting a house in an area called Cabo Del Sol right near the Sheraton hacienda del Mar Hotel. Overlooks the Golf course and the Sea of Cortez. Very pretty with coconut palms and iguanas !!!
I came down Sat am and there was a lione a mile long. They had two gates open and I didn't wait ten minutes. Headed home at 2 pm after dropping supplies off to my wife and with too much wind headed home. Lots of cars still coming but with 2 lines open there was no incoming or outgoing delays
