I see somebody immediately went for the cheek meat! Dave had his cook do up a black seabass head for us last trip. Picking that meat off the cheeks was fantastic yummy. Now I know why the locals all fight over who gets the head!

I hear Alaskan halibut cheeks make a nice meal, but have never tried them yet. Salt Cellar on Hayden Rd has them on occasion when I have been there.

Halibut cheecks are awesome. They have them now at Red White and brew @ mcdowell and Power in Mesa . You won't regrett it . Also you can get them at the fish market if you ask. A little garlic butter and saute slow till almost done and remove from heat, Serve with a little drawn garlic butter and a shot of lemon .AwesomeLeigh

South end of Becher's Bay at Santa Rosa Island. Straight out in front of the Torrey Pine forest at 33° 59.514'N 120° 1.027'W The big Elk and Mule Deer used to love bedding down in that forest before they eradicated them from the island two years ago...that SUCKED!!! About a 30 mile boat ride from the City of Santa Barbara, CA on a 213 degree heading.
