December 1st will be the first Mermaids Market right here in Puerto Penasco. It will be at the Shrimp Park and will be open from 10:00 to 5:00 there is space for 20 vendors total. It is first come first served to be a vendor. The space is 20.00 per vendor with a portion going to the Family assistance department here known as DIF. Visit the page onFaceBook

Friday morning we were hand delivered our special use permit for the Plaza Camaron (Shrimp Park)
We released the information to some local and expat artist and by Saturday afternoon we have 17 of the 20 artist - vendor booths filled. The response was great and when you attend the event you will be able to see work done by a good mix of Mexican Nationals as well as our local American and Canadian friends who live here either full time or part time. This will be a great event for the local art community and is sure to grow as we move forward!

Mermaids Market was a success. 18 vendors/artist - both Mexican and American displayed their craft under a blue and warm Sonoran sky! Face book link to some photo sets
$90.00 USD raised for DIF for the first Mermaids Market so if we hold 2 of these a month we can probably donate 200 usd per month to DIF. Thanks to all of our artist and vendors!
