Conventions and Puerto Peñasco Visitors Bureau announced the last Monday, September 10 the event that from 1st to 5 may of 2013 will take place in this tourist destination, first annual event called "Boomers Day Fest", which is a great event which will have on Puerto Peñasco and that counted with with five days of shows during which submission of 24 of the top Superstars of music and comedy of the 1960s, 70y 80s, in addition to numerous leisure activities aimed specifically at the "baby boomers". These include two large preliminary events: a golf tournament with the participation of celebrities and sponsors to be held on 29 and 30 April and a sport fishing tournament scheduled for the 1st of May.
In order to provide accommodation to 70 visitors who are expected to arrive to enjoy the "Boomer Fest" event has been associated with owners of hotels, condominiums and villas in Puerto Peñasco and its reserves and management companies to establish a single system of reserves which associated the purchase of each ticket with the booking of accommodation. The support of Sandy Beach Resorts, SBR, a developer of tourist real estate projects in this destination, has been fundamental to the implementation of this project.

Accommodation includes hotel rooms, luxury apartments of two or three rooms and five rooms facing the sea villas. Spaces for campers and motorhomes with connections and services camping luxury within the precincts of the festival in "vip" tents for two and four people will also be offered.
The organizers of the event suggested that customers travelling to Crag between April 28 and may 1, recommending come early and stay a few extra days so that they can enjoy the many activities offered by this beach destination. Also staggered arrivals to avoid congestion at the border, thus reducing waiting times.
The festival will include:
-Tournament of Golf stars and sponsors on 29 and 30 April.
-May 1st sports fishing tournament
-Festival of food and wine from the 1st to 5 may, highlighting the regional wines and the best local chefs.
-Sale and Expo crafts.
-Classic car Expo.
-Stars of the music and comedy from 2 to 5 May.
-Mega display of fireworks and laser lights.
-Cars, trucks, and motorcycles off road Expo.
-Exhibition of boats and ATVS.
-Carnival with games and wheel of fortune.
-Jet skis, Sea Doo and rental of ATVS.
-Information Centre for medical and dental care in Mexico.
The immediate local economic benefit could reach 49 million dollars during the five days of the festival. This figure was obtained with a conservative projection in which each of the 41 thousand expected attendees (calculated on the sale of 65% of the 63 thousand paid entries, which indicate over 70 thousand potential customers) is spent an average of $300 per day. Boomers Fest will give employment to nearly 2,000 residents of Peñasco during the festival. The project will also include the installation of a permanent infrastructure which sit the Foundation for an annual event.
Both the city of Crag and the State of Sonora to benefit from the enormous d coverage of positive press in the mainstream media of United States, generated by the large amount of media present covering the event and interviewing attendees of the festival.
