Mexico has the same problem now as Colombia did in 1980s. Colombia took steps to defeat the cartel that practicly ran the country until early 1990s. Look into how Colombia was able to pull it off.
#1 reason why drug cartel in mexico got even more popular sense the early 90s. It all has to do with NAFTA scam signed in 1993 and then Peso collapsing in december of 1994, because of the president Salinas scam. This was a huge blow to mexican rural areas.
Big problem with legalising drugs anywhere is that society is already stimulated too much with alcohol and prescription narcotics just look at gringos in rocky point, not a single one is sober. USA will not be a productive country with druged up society. Proof is China in 1800s, look into how british sold heroin opium to chinese in order to collapse their society in order to by expensive silk for exchange for worthless heroin, by the 1900s half of china was hooked up to heroin and they were easily taken over by Japan in 1930s. Look into it.

This town is in bad shape, it was orininally announced, the govt. here was short 300,000,000 pesos, now it's been revised to 500,000,000.00 or 40 some million dollars. Thats why i received a property tax bill for over 200,000.00 pesos that was 26,000 last year.
the Old professor may be in over his head...it is a big job. In Caborca people are starting a political movement for good government and to stop the drug war....it is sort of a occupy type deal.
