image With an investment of $ 100 million generating at least 400 jobs over three years, the company dedicated to Aeromk II aircraft construction Jet Air Combat Training will be installed in Puerto Penasco, said Alejandro Zepeda Munro.
The Mayor said that in a first stage will be invested 67 million and hire 150 people to start operations at the facility from the International Airport "Sea of Cortez."
"We see this occurring in Sonora a boom in the aerospace industry and we realize that Rocky Point is installed this plant in our city, for which as a government we have given all facilities to materialize the project, like the Grupo Mayan, "he said.
He noted that is the only plant in Mexico since 1968 to take a plane flying in addition to being the only Air Training Center in our country, which will be reflected in the level of workforce they need.
He said he opened the hiring of personnel for which they require at least finished high school and professional level technical or engineering careers related to the metalworking sector, in addition to a basic command of English, where the lowest salary is estimated at 4 minimum wages.
The plant covers an estimated 60 thousand square meters and will be located at the airport, same place and are made of receipt of applications and interviews for people interested in working.
He said that the proposed plant also includes the completion of a reality show with Channel History Channel, the activities undertaken as part of the Training Center and the arrival of other companies that would act as providers of Aeromk II, as Garmin and General Electric.

I don't see how it can happen with the internet being so sub-standard...

If they are able to free up the net, I can see thousands of jobs being developed in this country. Even third world countries in Africa and Asia have a wide open internet.

I was told that fiber optics are suppose to be coming to Penasco at the end of the year (hopefully 2012 and not 2013 or beyond). I did a speed test and we rated an "F" and our downloads/uploads aren't actually that bad when I think back to the old days.

Does anyone know anything about Aeromk II?
Hooch
I don't know man I think the Aeromk II is a bicycle frame. If so, ****'s about to get real lol the neww mexican flying bicycle

This is good news. The kind of middle class jobs the plant will create will bring a group of sharp young people to Puerto Penasco.

The structures engineers, and more often, the mechanical engineers I've worked with certainly fit that profile.

When I was doing millwright work for Borden's at their Pasta factory in Tolleson,(Creamette), they used to send a Italian millwright/engineer over over with the sections to be installed. The press, chiller, dryer, and of course those damn packaging machines. Now there were 3 different companys in Italy that were making, dismantling, and then sending it over to us in the States. Now all of those main sections were supposed to tie into each other, but since they were made at 3 different locations, and they obviously never communicated, modify, or throw it away was the way we had to operate. All that with some wild eyed Italian who was either wanting to hug us, or was screaming like a lunatic in Italian with a wrench in his hand, most oftern the latter. It would take us about a year @10 hr days 6 days a week to get one line online with the boilers, and flours tanks, ladders, catwalks etc and with all the fabrication we had to do. As far as I know, one of the bodies has never been found.

And don't forget the EE's... especially if they're bald, and outspoken.

Bald, outspoken Engineers are the WORST.

Especially if they try to hide their baldness by wearing a hat, while showering.

Here (PP) a professional metallurgical skilled worker is offered $5,200 a year. (4X minimum wage) Shows how disconnected some Americans are with value of work.

Or it shows why some Mexicans look at Americas ventures into Mexico are nothing more than a imperialist move, while looking for cheap labor.
jerry
i can't see how you could live in Penasco on 5K a year...Caborca maybe..

Now where did I put those 12 flat bed air ride semi trailers with tractors to move the 20 machines and all this damn equipment south.. After reading this article half my employees here are ready to get the FM3 started to go to work down south.

On the other side I have heard a few things about it. Like where the plane is coming from. and a few of our suppliers are already in works to put in sales facilities out by the new airport.

Roberto's house is looking more attractive every day.
