Has anyone ever seen Cornish or Rock Hens in any of the stores there? They are little guys and usually come in a pack of two. They are Mrs. GV's favorite. Seared, grilled and basted with a Maple Syrup, butter, Dejon and thyme mixture they are hard to beat.
I can't wait to see the remarks for this one. :cluck:
Found some, they were excellent. Just go to Seadweller's home, & he'll even BBQ them for you. That's what we did the other night, had a great time. Our turn to cook tonight.

OK Mark...Where did you get them or were they smuggled? Or better yet, what time is dinner?

Jack... I only do the cooking... I don't ask what or where it came from... There's an old saying "Smuggling is more than just an adventure"... or was that "more than just a job..?"

Maybe if Barb gets Lucky while you all are at the casino today, she'll take us out to eat tonight...
How to Raise Cornish Game Hens
The Rock Cornish Game Hen was fist bred in 1950 in an attempt to replace the guinea hen-due to a farm fire a large flock of guinea hens were lost. The Cornish Game Hen is a product of crossbreeding the Cornish chicken with other breeds of chickens. The result was a smaller, plumper hen that produced only white meat. The average weight of a game hen is 2-1/2 pounds. Read on to learn more.
The carnicerias I go to in Mesa have cornish game hens seasoned and split in half, ready to grill. They call them godorniz. The ones I saw today were $2.39 a pound. I can't imagine they wouldn't have them in RP. Just ask for them by name. They are different than Roberto's pet quail, which are called codorniz.
