4th of July Sunset Cruise

I just returned from talking with Julie a.k.a. beachgirl and her husband Bruce, and we were thinking... if anyone else is interested we can all go out on a private sunset cruise on the Pacifica and stay out to watch the fireworks...

who all will be coming down for the 4th and who would be interested in going out for a sunset cruise???

I will update what it will cost in the morning I have the boat reserved I just haven't talked price...

Sounds like fun. How about live amateur boxing (supporting Penasco Youth Boxing Clubs) at the Camel Cantina at 3:00 for a couple hours and then the sunset cruise? Sounds like a plan to me.

D'oh! I was thinking the 4th was on Monday. That's what I get for posting BC (before coffee) LOL! I do have a lot going on this week!

Hey Inks, are you guys doing a bbq on the beach also???? What about you Chuck???? Joe????? Anybody else???? If so, and you guys are going on the boat, do you want to rally and do it all together???? We're having one at our place but hell, the more the merrier!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And Inks, I promise I will try to not be so ditzy on the beach, as you say!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just got done talking with the captain of the boat and he is thinking the weather may be bad for the weekend he wasn't able to talk to any extent at the moment as the navy and the police were there escorting the Mayor and other city officials to the boats as they were going to go out for a ride...

he did ask me to come down and get a video for him... I just laughed and said Oh yeah they'll let me through...

I will talk with him later this evening and get more info for those interested...

I know for sure of at least one that we will be having with some neighborly friends from PDO and as you say the more the merrier!! so come on down and bring your ditzy over!! :eek3:

Being newby how do the BBQ party work are they potluck explain, will there be fireworks in RP and where. what will the cost be for the beach party? I know I cant afford the boat.. Anyone that can answer TY, Barb

The party is usually on the mirador beach and at San Rafiel <--spelling??? or Playa del Oro RV Parks... it sort of just happens not much planning involved because plans often create confusion (at least for me) as far as costs go it's usually a BYOB or potluck...

Precisely Mark, making too many plans can become confusing.........Inks is doing something, we're doing something and who knows who else is doing something!!! (Joe?? Chuck??) Inks said we all can just bounce around from party to party, so just come to PDO and look for the parties, LOL!!! We're in space 41 on the beach. You can't miss us......we have a flag up that say's "THIS BAR IS OPEN" right now, but we'll probably put up the "U of A Wildcats" one over the weekend. Either way, like I said, you can't miss us. Inks is going to set up just down a ways from us. The time depends on whether we're doing the cruise or not. As far as food, a pot luck/BYOB style is cool. We'll keep everyone updated as it's gets closer..................

Just wanted to let everyone know that the weather in paradise couldn't be nicer and the water temperature is to die for!! Had a great time this morning tidepooling...........watched a guy "hunting" octopus and he had a bag full!!! The park is starting to fill up slowly..........hopefully more will be moving in!!!! Will be heading out soon to do some snorkeling soon......... it was great yesterday!!

BTW, the father-in-law showed up yesterday......................swim trunks in hand thank goodness!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A roaming party sounds like fun! PDO doesn't allow fireworks on there beach. I usually just sit outside on the San Rafael side of the boat ramp and watch the show. We have a public road on the east side of the trailer park that goes to the beach. We usually see or hear a nice variety of fireworks "all night"
