Sonoran Shrimp Farms Along Coastline (Satellite Photos)

I had no idea there were so many shrimp farms. Downloadable NASA photos at the link.

Those shrimp farms start at Bahia de Kino and go south. I've driven around down there and they are a sight to behold. I've got pics someplace.

I read an article on yahoo that said shrimp from shrimp farms can contain disease and bacteria because of the close proximity of the shrimp in the farm. Does anyone know if the quality is worse on farmed shrimp? Also, does anyone know if any of the shrimp farmed are sold in RP? Is there anyone in RP passing farmed shrimp off for wild shrimp?

I have been all over the beaches along south of Rocky Point. I have never seen all of these shrimp farms. The satellite photo makes them look non-stop from RP all the way down to Guaymas.

There is also one in Ejido Lagrimas, across the road from where Sunset Village was supposed to be built, (North of Laguna Shores) on the new highway to El Golfo, where by the way were some huge shrimp farms, that I think have been abandoned.
