On October 8th in the Plaza del Camaron Park there is a shrimp festival. Has any one here gone before or are you going this year? Should I expect more than a few shrimp vendors and stands?

Also, is this the park with the giant shrimp statue across the street from the police station?

Hi we have gone several times and it is great. You will be able to try different shrimp dishes and there is usually music and lots of other stuff to do. It is in the park with the big shrimp in it across from the city buildings. Be sure to go!

What street is it on?

It's on the corner of Benito Juarez and Fremont across the street from city hall. Should be lots going on.

Food Vendors, shrimp, chance to sample lots of stuff. Stage with music. Vendors of miscel stuff. You won' t find an hour by hour schedule, things don't happen that way here. I'd say go in the middle of the afternoor or around noon for lunch. Not ususally a lot of locals. Park anywhere nearby, parking on three sides of the park and it is not usually crowded.
