Here are some pictures of Penasco's 84th birthday celebration on the Malecon- wish we could have been there. How come the locals didn't let us know- Rosie, Russ, etc- you're slipping! (JK- maybe you mentioned it on your show last Saturday).
Yup, we mentioned it. In fact I pointed out that the first Mayor of Penasco was originally from Pitiquito, my hometown. The Municipal Gymnasium is on Benito Juarez almost kitty-corner from the Lluvia del Mar Hotel, where The Pits car wash is.

Ahh, I heard the tail-end of that "Pitiquito, my hometown" convo on the show last week. I have to work on the weekends so I listen to the show here and there. And when you play the same old-school, nothing-to-do-with-Mexico-artists like George Thorogood, Leon Russel, Taj etc. week after week, I also take the headphones off. Hehehe...I KEEED, I KEED! But your playlists are getting much better! Again, play to your audience. This is what DJs do! Throw your personal touch in there, make it your own, but think about who you are reaching out to. OK, off the soapbox... ;)
Yes, but I don't know when because it depends on what else is going on. Next time you're here, stop by and you'll find the office just around the side of the building. The director is Fernando Lopez and he speaks English.

James, I've heard this from you before. And just like then, I'll explain that this radio station initially had no music at all to choose from in their system. Slowly, we've been trying to get songs uploaded, but that's frustrating because we can't rely on it being done with any regularity. We do the best we can, and as the database grows, so will our options. But you might as well know that the staple of our show will never be beach music. Our audience is only partly made up of weekenders. Itold you before that if you have something in particular you'd like to hear, go ahead and suggest it, but it seems you just prefer to complain in general. If so, then don't let me stand in your way...complain away.
