What do you mean by "It went out". GFI won't set? No power ever ? What does the GFI service?

The GFI tripped. It will stay on for a while, but trip again. The outlets are in the bathroom, kitchen, second sink, two along the the dining table and stereo, Dish receiver and TV. I have unplugged everything to see what happens.

Genaro has Lorenzo's number. Tom has his business card tacked on the board outside the PDO office......

If it does not trip after unplugging everything, plug stuff in one at a time until it trips again. the last one you plugged in has a short. If it does trip after unplugging everything there is a short in a connection somewhere, requiring some more exploration probably by an electrician. Are you sure nothing else is controlled by the GFI?

Check your main ground wire leading into the box. I would get rid of the gfi for now..

in your post you mention all the outlets in the trailer, are all those GFI, usually GFI are within 6 feet of any water source, which in a trailer means all outlets are about 6 feet from water, now the questions is are all the outlets GFI's? if they are then to test if they are all connected when one trips all of them should trip too, if that is the case then you need to isolate the bad one by reseting all the GFI outlets and then plug a light and turn it on, one outlet at a time and the bad one will trip when the light is plug and turned on, once you find the bad one then all you need to do is change that one only, however if there are more to be tested then reset the GFI again and continue testing the one that needs it, if another is bad then you know you need to change more than one.

so far so good. I have plugged one thing at a time and still operating. I'll try more tomorrow as we want to watch TV tonight.

Go to ACE Hardware and buy a plug in tester with 3 lights and check the outlets with it. It may indicat there is a problem with an outlet wireing
Check the wires in the main breaker box and make sure they are all tight. By all I mean the ones on the breakers and on the ground bars. Then if there is still a problem pull the outlets out of the wall boxes and make sure the wires in them are tight. It could also be in the pedestal you pluged the RV into. Have the park check all of those connections for loose wires.

Funny, today I plugged everything in one at a time. It works fine. I purchased the GFI tester per Bill Hale at Numeros. Checked all the outlets, they are fine. By funny, I mean funny strange, not funny ha-ha. Thanks for all the help.

I had a problem years ago with the GFCI in my trailer....everytime it got super humid at night in Penasco (which is most of the summer months), moisture got into the outlet on the exterior of the trailer, even with the spring loaded cover....and it would pop....then I had no electric in most of the trailer. I replaced it, still no go.....SO....now I don't have a GFCI.....
