True that Kenny I guess I should have kept my gringo mouth shut huh? How can I be an ex of something I never was one of before? I am a citizen of the world brutha. I live where I want to and do what I please without the overlords telling me what to think or what my next move will be. But in the end you are right what does it matter what I think, I will just lurk and be quiet from now on..........

That's so true Joe. How the questions are worded etc, can make all the difference in the world.

You know Kenny I dont know you and you dont know me so I have a hard time listening to you tell me in font of other people that what I say is crap. Thats your opinion and you are welcome to it but it means very little to me and the people that know me. I know what my life was like and what it is now and the difference is measurable! AJUA life is good!

You can ra-ra-ra, sis-boom-bah PP all you want Russ, I fell in love with it and Cholla over 50 years ago; but when you put down the states and say things like,
do what I please without the overlords telling me what to think or what my next move will be
as if Mexico is better than the states, then you're full of crap!

You may be or try to be non political, but the "overlords" you speak of are everywhere Russ, and are political by their very nature. Now tell me since you brought up the "overlords", you can't possibly believe that you are free of them in Mexico, that somehow you are immune to them there... Only a fool would say
one country is no better than the other
Maybe the people are no better, but the politics that they live by do make some county's better for them to live in than others, while some other country's politics make it a living hell for them.
playaperro
you must be talking bout dryheat...
playaperro

If we're a police state Jerry (not saying we're not) then what in the hell is Mexico?
I used to sleep at the foot of Old Glory
And awake in the dawn's early light
But much to my surprise
When I opened my eyes
I was a victim of the great compromise.

According to Human Rights Watch, Mexico's justice system is beset by corruption, "inadequate training and resources," and excessive pretrial detentions.

"Over 40 percent of prisoners in Mexico have never been convicted of a crime," HRW wrote in a 2011 report. "Rather, they are held in pretrial detention, often waiting years for trial."

Fabiolas mother (sweetest lady in the world) sat 1 year in jail, before being sentenced to 36 years in prison for a murder she didn't commit. In 1995 we had the case turned federal and with the help of an attorney from Mexico City she was released at the end of 1995. The attorney didn't charge a penny for his services. The only thing he asked for were 2 tickets to the super bowl at ASU in 1996. On the other hand I mentioned in one thread my brother in law in Mexicali was arrested with 8800 rounds of high caliber ammo and released the next day. The saying its not who you know its who you blow is not valid in Mexico. You better know somebody.

I am sure it also works great in prison.

Neither of you have the saying right.

"It's not who you know or who you blow, it's how you blow who you know!"

So true....when I had my auto accident, my friend's wife (Mexican) knew most of the local cops. When she got to the accident site, she did a lot of talking with the cops, and they actually measured the slide (in the sand) of the other vehicle, did a decent accident report, with diagrams, checked and found the kid was not licensed.....as a result the kid was found to be at fault by the magistrate (she also came down to the police station and talked to the magistrate).....otherwise, this gringo would have been up sh%$ts creek!!!! Even though the impound yard was already closed...I was still able to get my vehicle out.....
