Saturday night a few of our regulars here on the site decided to take a taco trip with me. We started out with Carne Asada, jalapeños grilled, onions grilled, vampiros, pinto bean soup, it was awesome. Then we stuffed ourselves back in the bus to go down the street for tacos Al Pastor (mmmmm, mmmmm, good!). Normally after pastor I take my groups to Thrifty ice cream but not these guys. They heard about and wanted to try the Sonoran Hot Dog. A hot dog wrapped in bacon, cooked to perfection, stuffed into the softest bun you can imagine (Rob said it was lighter than air) then smeared with all types of salsa goodness. We all had a GREAT time and I hope that somebody post some pics to this thread I forgot my camera............Thanks guys you were great to be with!

Russ it was an awesome experience not only for Michelle and I but for the 3 friends who made the brave Trek down to Mexico (very worried about security) It was funny after we got home yesterday I did mention how scared they were about going to Mexico and then on night number 3 they were out in town at 9:00 eating on the street. They all admitted to being swayed by the media... Just wish we could have done the oyster farms but there is always next time...

This is exactly the way we, (my mexican family) make our hot dogs. The first time my hubby made these for me, my reaction was the same as your group! Yum, Yum!

OK Sonoran Hot Dogs. I have heard so much about them but do not know where to get them. Please give directions to perfection.
