Friends of ours who have been going to RP for many years are all of the sudden so concerned about the effect of cartel violence that they do not want to go anymore. We own a home in Cholla, have been going for years, it's been 2 months since we've been down, and have always maintained that we feel safer in RP than we would in south Phoenix. That being said, the constant media reports re: violence in Mexico are starting to concern us in terms of "could it get so bad that it DOES spread to RP"? We LOVE RP and it's people and don't want to stop going down, but just wanting a feel for reality in the area and the road down as of late...
