Just an fyi, watch where you park during renovation. Last Wednesday I parked one block down from Catholic Church and Thrifty's at around 12:30pm. Ate lunch and was back at truck by 2:15. Passenger side window was broken and had blackberry, camera, ipod touch, tool bag, cooler with water bottles and bag of fruit stolen. Someone very desperate I would assume and could have been worse. Made for a long hot ride back home though.....

I am sorry to hear that, things are difficult right now for many people and if the temptation presents itself these things will occur but I am sorry that it happened.

Yes and unfortunately I provided a lot of temptation. Still would rather be in RP any day of the week than Phoenix......

A couple of years ago I had my van broken into passenger window et al. When the glass guy installed it in Cottonwood he told me that side window break ins are a huge part of his business in Phoenix. He said thieves will break a $300.00 piece of glass for $1.00 in change if they see it through the window. I took his advice and I hide everything I have no matter where I am traveling no matter how long I leave the car, even in la la land up north.

Yeah, I flirted with disaster last Sat., the 9th when I came down. I was running really late, even late for me, LOL, and I had to go straight to the Malecon, no time to unload at PDO. I had the Jeep stuffed to the rollbars with a portable A/C unit, all my clothes and jewelry and music, 6 boxes of donations for the community center and some other stuff. It was 2 P.M. and I parked on the west side of the Malecon. I gave a guy who claimed to be the "parking attendent" (Yea, I know) 5 bucks to watch her, locked her up, set the gas kill, had a short talk with God and left for a couple of hours. When I came back, the "parking attendent" was still there and he said, "She safe, it's ok." I was lucky......Normally I wouldn't do that......

No Kat,
My Jeep was OK. It was Encantocarlos that had his truck broken into. I was very lucky taking that chance, tho. I'll be back down on Nov. 11th...see you then.

what is worst is that we feel so safe here in USA that we only say the bad things that happen in Rocky Point or Mexico, the same thing happen to me, they broke the passenger side window aand stole my laptop and camera from my van in Tucson, I think that's it I will closed myself at home and never go out again!! we do not have to drive 4 hours to get ripped off or shot at!!
