Thanks again, everyone! Despite how many years go by, I still enjoy being part of your lives in some small way!

So... somebody told me yesterday that "55 is the new 30." What does that make 30, the new 15? Hahahahah!

It's been kind of a weird week or so, one of those that makes realize you aren't getting any younger. First, my Mom (74) had a heart attack. They were able to stint a blocked artery and she's already out of the hospital and doing just fine. Then, a good friend of many years (age 50) called me to tell me he was having open heart surgery due to a genetic fault that was discovered in one his heart valves. Basically, a time bomb that could kill him instantly. He's recovering in ICU and is awake, alert and chipper (his wife says it's the drugs!).

So yeah... a couple things like that in the same week and you suddenly start taking a hard look at your own mortality! This gettin' old stuff -- it ain't for wimps!!! :think:
