Ok gang,
Who all is gonna be down? I'd love to meet some more of you! I am coming Sat. morning and leaving Tuesday. I still have a lot of work to do on the trailer but can be convinced to leave it for a while! LOL!
Mark, I'll be stopping at your casa first to drop off the toys. They fill the Jeep completely to the top and I have the back seat out! I don't know where I'm gonna put my stuff! LOL
Not gonna make it.....have about 3000 miles of driving to do over the weekend...moving some stuff for my daughter.....but planning on coming down the middle of Sept.:cruisin::aagh:
Mark,
Do you want me to leave the toys with you Sat. when I arrive (noonish) or take them to PDO and store them in my shed? Whatever is easier for you!
Chari you can stop by if it's easier for you... I can do all the unpacking here so it will be less for you to do when you get here... I'm sure you'll be ready to relax after the drive down... =]
Mark,
I got the load smalled down into one large plastic bin, 2 woven bags full, 1 gigantic garbage (lawn and leaf) bag, a dry erase board and a fold up stroller. It barely fits. I will have to put my stuff on the front seat! LOL! I hope I can see out my passenger mirror! So unloading won't be an issue but sorting will. I noticed when I picked the stuff up that there were Mr. Potato Head parts in 2 of the bags and the bin. Then, I further muddled the waters by putting all the loose stuff in a garbage bag without looking where it went. I'll help ya' sort, Mr. Rum and Coke can wait! LOL!
And Joe, if you have 3000 miles to drive over the weekend, you better get going. The best I ever did was 1800 in 30 hours. I took a one hour nap in Oklahoma. That was brutal and I was 30. I can't imagine trying to do that now.......
What chu talkin' about, Willis? Mr. Rum and Coke can wait for me to get the kids' toys ready! A lot of us will be down Columbus Day weekend. I think we can have a birthday party for you then. 25, are you freakin' kidding me? Don't I wish......

2 days up...1 day to unload/recover...2 days back.....then a whole week to REALLY recover!!!
Back "in the good ole days"....I used to drive from NY to the Florida Keys....about 1500 miles in 21-22 hours....non-stop....well maybe a half hour snooze at a truck stop.....and that was when the "speed limit" was 55......
Hey Rob, think ya better add about sixteen years to that!! We'll be down Oct. 9-17 and would love to meet up with you to celebrate.........unfortunately, we cancelled our plans to come down this weekend, so by then we'll be ready to rock and roll:party::coldone: big time!!!!!!!!

I resemble that remark I think I will also be down that weekend....
The hot water heater went out early this month, then Brianna started college (community, but costly just the same......at least I convinced her to go back!!) and property and personal taxes are due soon...........does it ever end????!!!!!! LOL, hell no!!!!!! Anyway, we were down four times in as many months, so we figured we could skip a month..........Oct. 9 will be here soon enough!!!!! (Oh, and another one.......going back to work at the school was such a stress reliever, but we have sooooo much time off that isn't paid!! Gotta give up some things for the benefit of other things I guess..........). It is a bummer, but RP isn't going anywhere and neither are any of us.......there will be a next time Chari!!!!!!!

Coming down Friday afternoon, Ill be the one in the water with the underwater video camera, along the mirador....Mark, will you be in the water.........oh....wait.....thats a dumb ass question. sea ya friday
Well, I caved...........we'll be there Saturday morning (leaving Monday afternoon). Loco, we stay at PDO (don't know which space yet). We have a Tahoe 5th wheel and drive a white Tacoma............if I don't scope you out first, come hunt us down!!! The hubby thought the pics on your site were so cool and we'd love to meet you!!! Thanks again for using them. Chari and Mark and Barb, you always know how to track us down.........come on over!!! I'm hoping Connie's "weather Godess" is good to her..........if she's good to her, she's good to us all!!!! I'm counting on relatively calm waters this weekend. The only way I can handle the humidity is to be in the water as much as possible, hopefully anchored down floating in my tube or doing some snorkeling (staying inside in the air conditioning is out of the question). Chari, I know I'd never get you to float with me (it's a two-seater with the cooler in the center), but you can park a chair real close to the water and hang out with us!!! Hey Melissa, you can float with me if you'd like...........you take the humidity about as well as I do apparently!!!!! BTW Chari, have you got the sun deck ready to be set up yet???? ("hint hint", LOL!!)
I'm looking forward to a fun weekend sea U all soon... loco what underwater camera??? the one you gave to me??? lol... don't forget to bring the battery charger for it...
Yay,
Come on over. I wonder if we should plan a party at Julie's so we can all meet each other all at once.....We could do it at my place but I'm further from the beach abd I have no patio furniture yet. I just moved in in July for those of you who don't know. I'm still unpacking and sorting and cleaning...... What da'ya' say, Julie?
:razz:Why do I always miss the parties... Just for that anyone in Phoenix on Sat. Sept. 4th I will be having a party I live on the extreme west valley (by the zoo)
if you are interested we will have bbq. beef and bbq pork tons of food and I also have 6 bottles of Tequilla I picked up last week at the factory. I also have a nice new bottle of the Mexican Moonshine all are welcome. I will also have a big water slide for the day for the kids.... PM me for info and directions.....:woo::party::popcorn:
Well, I can tell I won't be reading your fascinating postings for a while. Many of you will be having too much fun. Won't be able to wait until next Tuesday, to hear about your weekend. Hope you share with us all.
I just let Chari know that Saturday would be a better day for us to get together, but I'm kind of going to leave it up to weather. High tide is around 11:30-12:00 both days, so that's when we'll be in the water..........of course, a couple of hours prior to and a couple of hours after!! I'm going to shoot for Saturday, but if the weather ends up being nasty, than we can do it Sunday. We'll be around all day, so I'll leave it up to you guys what time. I'm off to work now, so I'll check back later................
Chari - I got your PM. I have internet access also. We'll drop by when we go down to the Malecon, not sure what day it will be yet. But I'll stay updated on here as to when there may be a big shindig. Will it be okay to bring two little girls?
I don't know what space we'll be in yet. Bruce already informed me that the first thing that is going to happen when we get there is the computer is going on, and we're catching the U of A game on it. So, we'll be hooked up right off the bat and I can let you know as soon as we get there!! Go
Cats, we better be able to fly our flag in pride!!!!!

They must be playing NAU then!!! :moon::rofl::rofl:
Sorry I can't be down there with all the regulars....got to take care of my munchkin...delivering furniture/household goods for her and her soldier hubby in the Seattle area.
Hi guys!! We made it..........half hour wait at the border, but other than that, it was smooth sailing!!! Met Stuart for the first time right off the bat at Reggie's.....that was great (hi Stuart!!)!!! Then, Mark and Barb were waiting for us at the park........and Eduardo and Alicia stopped by also!!! What more could you ask for............coming into town and hooking right up with friends!!!!!!!!! We're in space 89, proudly flying the U of A flag......we're going to go pick up Mark's kayaks after while, but other than that, we'll be around all day. Looking forward to meeting new friends and seeing more old friends..........this is going to be a fantastic weekend!!!!!!!!!! (Chuck and Val are supposed to be here also!!)
Bill, I'm planning on having a fish fry that weekend..........I'll let you all know more details as it gets closer!!! BTW Bill, it didn't dawn on me until this past weekend that the space you got is one of the ones that I had requested for that week in October (9-17). I always tell Genaro that I want space 50, 67, 89, 111, or 131..........well, 111 is definitely out!!!!! But we'll be neighbors no matter where we're at, LOL!!!

I'll try to save some grouper filets for that... yummy...
That would be awesome Mark!! My brother-in-law and his mom will be going out fishing sometime that weekend, probably Friday, and hopefully will catch enough that I can sweet talk them out of some!!!!! (Hey Russtoleum....if you read this, whadda say???) Last year when we did this, it was sooooo good. I don't know exactly what they caught, but we grilled some and fried some and it was all delicious!!!!!!!!
