I'm hearing it is getting crazy in driving thru Sonoyta MX on route to Rocky Point.

I saw a Fox News story with a video of a lot of shooting in Sonoyta but don't know when it was taken. Unless other sources have something I'm assuming the Fox report is not current.

We drove through Sonoyta last Monday about 11 am, 1/15, and it was quiet.

The video is posted by Fox and MSN. Fox video says "

The MSN video doesn't give the date, but they're the same video

Bottom line is there are a lot of cartel gunmen in place and ready to fight from San Luis to Guaymas. Your change of getting shot by them is close to zero if you don't travel at night.
