We came down to Cholla today, gas price signs were $4.99 in Why and at the Lukeville station.
The Circle K was showing $4.18, I bet someone didn't change the sign yet.
In Sonoyta magna was still 18.19 per L. It took 10.2 gallons to fill and cost 722 pesos with 20 peso tip so $3.43 per gallon.
Sonoyta Premium was 20.49 pesos.
Thanks, Brokenwave, for the update. Gasbuddy shows the metro Phoenix average for unleaded at $4.65/gal on 3/11, so saving $1.20/gallon topping off in Sonoyta (and paying in pesos) makes some sense these days. The price differences in these markets are fascinating. If you're paying in USD, you'll get clipped a little in the peso/dollar forex - ARCO in Penasco posts a 19/1 exchange and I saw a few Pemex stores post 18/1. I'm also curious how accurate the pumps are at dispensing the full liter/gallon that you're paying for. I've always been satisfied with the gas quality and have never had any issues with Pemex gas.
I have found the pumps I used at the Oxxo in Sonoyta to be fair, I figured I needed about 10 gallons to fill and it took 10.2 gallons.
Unlike some of the pumps in Penasco where you get 80-90% of what the pump shows.
Their exchange rate at the Oxxo was 18.9-1.

I paid with extra Pesos I had. The atm I used gave me an exchange rate of 20.7-1 last trip. I only use a credit card in penasco for big items and only at larger stores I've dealt with before.
Will report tomorrow. Heading down in the morning. Say a prayer to the wind gods for me. Rolling the dice this weekend. I think Saturday may be doable... Need a little bit of HIGH PRESSURE LOVE from the atmosphere! Jet stream stay north ppppppppleaaaasssssseeeee!
Just read in the lame stream media that El Presidente de Mehico announced today that he will not allow gringos to buy gazolina at any Mex border town from TJ to Texas. Especially TJ where it is $3.70 a gallon and San Diego where it is $7.70 a gallon causing shortages for de peeps de Mehico. Anyone could'a seen that coming.
I wonder if PP is considered a border town? Then as a matter of fact last weekend we topped off my Raptor and Rubicon in SLRC before crossing back to Yuma where the gaz is just under $5 a gallon.
Friday 4/1 Sonoyta VIP 76 (formerly the big Circle Kulo): Paid $3.52/gallon. Regular was 18.18/liter. No gas only diesel at the OXXO/PEM at the shortcut that definitely doesn't exist.
Saturday 4/2 PP/Cholla Bay Windmill Pemex: No gas. Elsewhere in RP gas was 22.something per liter. Didn't see any lines or issues with getting gas driving around town.
On our return.
Monday 4/4 Sonoyta VIP 76: Price increase from 18 to 20.something pesos per liter. Didn't even bother doing the math. Just filled it up. Llena lo por favor. No gas only diesel again at the Oxxo/Pemex on the fake news shortcut that doesn't exist.
It is against the law to park an RV on a residential street in Yuma. Also, there is a one hour limit for them to park in a public parking lot like Walmart, Lowes, Home Depot and any shopping mall.
As for the no-gaz shit, there is only one person that is responsible for that and he is the "leader of the free world" our "presidente" Obiden.
JJ freedom has a price….this time it is a extra buck a gallon…but since you sell all those chinese commie car parts you might be ok with Putin too…like the last guy.
I couldn't give a shit if I had to pay twenty bucks a gallon for gaz or diesel. All would be a business tax write off to include boat, Jeep and Raptor fuel. As for your insinuation of me selling krap chink commie parts, just how do you know such "facts"?

In Penasco, yes more expensive.
2 weeks ago, Magna Regular gas in Penasco was 23 pesos per liter approx $4.30 per gallon.
In Sonoyta at the OXXO on Septembre Street bypass, it was 18.89 per liter so, approx $3.50 per gallon for Magna Regular.
In Why it was $4.49 and I was told it's $4.09 or 4.29 at the Gastrak border station.
$4.20 a gallon is 60 cents more than I paid today in Tucson.Hey guys I thought this was Dark Brandons fault? On inflationConsumer prices in Mexico rose 8.7 percent year-on-year in September of 2022, the same as in the previous month, remaining the highest inflation rate since December 2000 and almost in line with market expectations of 8.75 percent. .
The price of Magna in Sonoyta is the same as in mid Aug 18.89 pesos.
Amazing gas in Tucson is so much cheaper than Phx area, approx $1.00 per gallon, Price in Sonoyta is the about the same as Tucson.
We were in Spain and Portugal the past 3 weeks, gas was $6.75 gallon, diesel was $7.70.
On all the highways we traveled on, there is virtually no traffic from the northern region at Bilboa/San Sebastian area
all the way south to Lisbon.
It's a Beautiful and fun part of the world, Porto PT is great.
We're going to Penasco next week and it's going to be weird going from Spanish/Portugese speaking places that are so clean
to Penasco which isn't.
I don't get the idea of gas prices being so important. It is expensive to drive and that's why we walk a lot. Having said that....the gas station on he corner near my house in Peñasco is busy all the time. The prices will be exactly what the market will allow no matter what country you are in..

Always loved Porto .I was first there in 72 or so after the dictatorship died .They sure turned it around. They sure do love garlic in food up there !
Lines in Y Greiga down south saturday 12 cars a pump and way more expensive than Tucson that sunk to $3.09 now that the election is over.Hopefully our new AG can look into this election related manipulation by the same Saudi criminals who are stealing Arizona’s ground water …..she is coming for them!
