Personally I wouldn’t build it out of wood. Way too many termites and right now wood is VERY expensive. Block is far cheaper and termites won’t eat it.

Wood in Penasco is the same as Dorito snacks for Termites. Block and Foam/Cement roofs are the way to go.
I've been fighting the termites for 15 years now.

I have removed everything I could this past year of wood. Tired of fighting them.
