Are the rules in RP changing like in AZ regarding mask wearing? Is it still one person per family that can go into the stores? You still need a mask on in your car driving? You still need one on the beach?

No Mexico is not following Az in this matter. When in public you wear a mask, when two or more in a car you wear a mask. At Super Ley store Naomi I shop together but at Sams it is one person per card. Temp checks are performed almost everywhere. Mask up when getting to the beach, once you have your space you can lose the mask. It really is no biggy to us.

We went to Sams yesterday and had to go back to the car to get my wife's card, they wouldn't let us both in with our showing just mine.

don't know maybe it was because we were three good looking women but then again we also have been coming since July and they have let my husband and I come in together. He must be good looking also. lol
It’s like a lot of things here, kind of hit and miss I guess.

My wife and I have been able to go in together in the recent past, 3 times in the last two months. My wife covers for me with her good looks, I'm one ugly SOB

I'm with you on that. But they kept letting me in, if they had denied me entering I'm okay with that too. I don't understand why more then one person needs to go shopping anyway. Only time we do go grocery shopping together is when we happen to be with each other.
Just got back yesterday after 10 days in rp went to sams club with some friends they denied them entry, today I canceled our membership , we have had that card for well over 20 years and that's with running a restaurant. Super leys is just fine with us ..

To paraphrase Dave Chapelle, when you see reverse racism it's "fucking beautiful". A week and a half ago we were down and had to go get some greenies from the ATM at Sonoran Sun I believe it is, West of Bella Sirena. We've been using their corner store recently. Every other time we've had to do the temp check and Claudia has had to walk through the sanitation tunnel to go in while I park. This time we said to use the store and the guy goes, you know where it's at? Yep! Just went and parked. No temp, no mask, no filter, no problem. As we're leaving some Mexicans were entering and they were getting the full cavity check and sanitation tunnel.
As to the question as it pertains to Sonoyta, WHO FUCKING KNOWS?! I would like to know because as we were in a 1 hour and 10 minute line we had them on our face like morons while every other person visible inside or outside a vehicle was not wearing one. I'm sure that was because everyone outside of the vehicles were connected. We politely told them no thank you 12 times to get shuttled to the front of the line for money. It's hard to play the game when you don't know the CURRENT guidelines...

Driving thru Sonoyta, wear one. In Penasco driving with 2+ people wear a mask (you will see a lot of people driving ignoring this).
But I wear one so the Police don't have an excuse to pull us over. Especially in Sonoyta.
Entering restaurants, bars and all stores mask is required. But you will see more than a few Americans ignoring this, it's up to the business
to enforce this, I've seen a few say, no mask, please leave.

Masks don't work , look at the Olympics in Japan an Asian country that wear masks all the time and have now band the spectators . They now have a major breakout of the China flue of witch you have a 99% chance of surviving.

Back when I was in high-school , college I was always taught in with the good out with the bad . Again , Japan is now experiencing their worst out break of this China virus and they wear masks all the time. Common sense tells me I have a better chance of serving this flue without a mask, a 99.9% chance . I'm 70 years old.

If you could smell the tear gas your filters could never stop a chemical or biological warfare agent (AKA the Woo-Floo).

CV19 cases are increasing in Penasco, I guess the huge influx of visitors over the past few months has helped the surge here.
Today I was told the city of Penasco is quietly asking stores, restaurants, etc. to consider closing during Aug like some places do already
for their vacation. If cases continue to grow we'll what the response is in a few weeks.
Masks are like wearing a bullet vest, it might not catch all but you'll wear a vest going into a gun battle if you have any common sense.

It’s true masks cannot directly filter out singular virus particles by themselves, however, well over 99% of all the airborne particles are contained in water droplets which can be filtered out. Masks are not perfect but they help. If they didn’t doctors wouldn’t wear them during surgery.
As a reliable control, influenza cases and deaths dropped dramatically over the winter of 20/21 due to mask wearing and social distancing.
All this over a flue you have a 99.9% chance of surviving . The kids lost over an entire year of schooling homes lost businesses lost .

But before I do, I think what the difference between the political divide is, is that conservatives value freedom and liberty and most on the left are willing to be sheep of the false narratives the left (the power and control merchants) put out. If Donald Trump told everybody to wear a mask, I would look at the science and the literature and I wiould decide, that doesn’t make sense and I would not wear a mask.
However, the inverse is not true. If Donald Trump told everybody to wear a mask and had mandated it for children in public schools, I could almost guarantee the left would call BS, they would pull out all of the studies that masks don’t work (The same studies that freedom loving people are referring to right now ) and there would be a ton of folks on the left who would not be wearing masks. To me that is just common sense on the political issue.
From a medical standpoint, I will defer to the the copious Studies dating back at least 20 years, that show conclusively that mask will not stop a virus. Sweden did not wear masks, and they did really well. The Ro is going to Ro, and the virus is going to virus.

This whole thing gets personal when someone you know who is 56 no bad health conditions goes into the hospital on a Sunday thinking he has pneumonia (sp) and is dead on Wednesday from c 19..I wear a mask. The 99% survival rate quoted means nothing to me.

My neighbor just died....took that Trump juice,delayed going to the hospital.....never wore a mask...trying to buy his boat but what do people think is an acceptable waiting period before asking the widow? ....funeral is Tuesday...she hates the boat

As a matter of fact I am right now loading up my Jeep Rubicon onto one of my trailers for a six day trip into the Chiricahua's for a long awaited Gila Monster roundup. Since the monsoons have had an early start this year those fat nasties should be crawling all over the canyon bottoms in search of eggs in lizard and snake nests. The quail will be starting their second brood of the season so there will be plenty of eggs for the taking from them as well.
Ain't much fishing up in those thar hills unless you consider "dry land fishing" for lizards with a fishing rod minus the eyes and a noose made of dental floss at the tip. Some of those critters are real "lunkers" especially Chuckwallas and Iguanas.
I'm saving the next fishing adventure for August when the adult Dorado arrive in conjunction with the massive Sargasso paddies that have been developing off-shore. This past May and June were unseasonably calm so that much of the Sargasso wasn't blown onto the beaches.
Anyways I just might advise YOU to stick your sarcasm and chicken shit insults up there to the planet Uranus.

Yes mask 2 or more in car, Super Ley has been letting in more than one family member but Sams is still one person per card. Pretty much everything is open except those on vacation in August which is normal. Everything is pretty much 50% capacity including the party boats. It is still busy here despite all things considered. I haven't heard of any border problems except that on some of CBP sites it says they are open 6-12 but in fact they are open 6-8 so there's that. We are still being very careful as we have a few friends fighting Covid right now here.
